    Description
This Freightliner 114SD 8x4 is built around the IMT 42684, one of the longest-reaching loader cranes IMT makes, for crews whose jobs are too high or too far out for a typical service crane. The crane is rated at 305,580 ft-lb and lifts up to 10,500 lbs, with a horizontal reach of 82' 10" and a vertical lift height of 94' 5". That lets one truck set material on upper floors and rooftops or place loads well past the stabilizers. A radio remote with an InfoCenter lets the operator work from wherever gives the best view of the load, and an oil cooler helps the hydraulics hold up through long lifting days. A crane this size needs a chassis to match, and the 8x4 layout provides it with a 20,000 lb front axle, a 46,000 lb rear, and a 23,200 lb steerable tag axle to help carry the 13,201 lb crane. The double frame gives that crane a stiffer foundation to work from. The Cummins X12 at 455 hp with an Allison 4500 RDS 6-speed automatic gives the truck the power and drivability to move that weight between sites. For contractors who regularly hit the limits of a smaller crane, this is a way to cover tall, long-reach lifts with a single truck. DISCLAIMER: Price quoted includes any applicable FET.
